I have realized something within myself through photography as it has become a way of life for me. It is a place I go, lost and yet utterly found in my own world of visual ecstasy, described as I can see and feel it. It is the texture that allows my own finger print settled in the fibers of the world so beautifully woven together.
I had been watching the mesmerizing clouds from my desk as they changed, as if they could not quite decide how to lay. Uncomfortable, they gradually turned and rolled adjusting themselves in the bed of blue. Layers upon layers of dark and light causing magnificent highlights on the brim of the heaviest looming cloud, steadily moving across them simply casting as unspoken respect with a shade of grey. It will rain soon.
Getting up, I grabbed my camera off the desk and decided I would get a short walk in before it began. These are moments of clearing my head and looking for something yet nothing at the same time. As I made my way up to the garden and to the large cornfield, I watched as the swiftness of a slight breeze began to find its way through the leaves and tassels. “It's it will be any second” I said out loud but only to myself.
Turning around I began to admire the flowers so delicate yet able to withstand some of the storms that have recently moved through the area. Then I felt it, a drop. All at once that sky turn loose and the rain began to fall. It had no choice but too and here I was standing there in supreme happiness in the mist of the garden with my camera. What else would I do but make a photograph of this perfect moment.
I had no control, every sensory was hit and I was fully flying high in the realm of contentment. In this, there is only one thing you can understand, this is life. It is meant to be experience will all senses. Why would want to miss this one, and vivid life you have?
