This week we have a passel of songs about well … uh … songs. Stephen Wilson, Jr. kicks it off with I’m a Song. Townes Van Zandt adds A Song For … I guess you get to fill in the blank. Willie Nelson does Leon Russell’s A Song for You, while Bonnie Carol plays Song for a Fall Birthday on her dulcimer. Frummox adds A Song for Stephen Stills to the mix, and the McGarrigle Sisters honor their mother with A Song for Gaby.

While Neil Diamond wails Song Sung Blue, the Brothers Four declare No Sad Songs for Me. Finally, the Best of Friends – Tom Paxton, Bob Gibson & Anne Hills – remind us to Sing for the Song.

To hear these and many more, join me either Saturday at 7pm or Sunday evening at 9.

Remember that you can find the whole playlist on the I Hear America Singing program page on our website.
