๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฑ Canna-Bonsai ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ

This is a root-on-rock style cannabis bonsai tree that I recently grew. I grew this particular tree over two pieces of purple amethyst and a rose quartz tower. Purple amethyst is a crystal known for its healing and cleansing properties and rose quartz is the stone of universal love. The cultivar (or stain) is purple haze, which is an uplifting sativa that will leave you feeling energized and focused. ๐Ÿ”ฎโš˜๏ธ๐ŸŒฒ

This plant was grown indoors using all organic nutrients and no pesticides. From seed to harvest it took 6 months. The seeds were germinated and planted on the full moon in December 2022 and harvested on the full moon in June 2023. The entire grow cycle was based the moon phases, which helped me to keep track of the natural life cycle of the plant and assisted with timing of each phase. Even the crystals were charged under the light of the full moon before going into the soil to be grown on.

Recently, I harvested this plant and dried and cured its filters. It was able to yield nearly 3 ounces of dried flower in less than a gallon of soil. Needless to say, I was very impressed and stoked! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’จ

Shout-out to for all the help and advice and to for the organic nutrients. Mahalo! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค™๐Ÿฝ

What do you think about this bonsai tree? Would you try flower grown over healing crystals?

Note: This plant was grown 100% legally under Hawaii state law with my medical 329 card. Compton

๐ŸŒŒMilky Way Arch Panorama๐ŸŒŒ

This is a nightscape astrophotography panorama that Iโ€™ve been working on for the last two years. Actually, if you consider the time it took to research/plan and all the prior attempts itโ€™s actually been about 4 years. Iโ€™ve gone through ups and downs, times that I was happy with it and times I didnโ€™t even think it was worth editing. However, with this edit I finally feel like I can retire this data and say that this image is done. Who am I kidding? Iโ€™ll probably revisit and re-edit this in a couple years from now with new skills/techniques and do it all over again.

One of the biggest challenges I always face is not over-editing my images. I feel like Iโ€™ve struggled so hard with this one, trying to find a balance between processing and keeping the image from looking overly cosmetic. If Iโ€™m being honest, this is probably a little too overdone for the taste of most nightscape photographers and astrophotography enthusiasts. With all that said, Iโ€™m finally happy with it myself and the way this Milky Way Arch Panorama looks.

The sky image is an 8 panel panorama with 4 x 45 seconds exposures per panel. I also captured 9 dark frames for the stacking process. These images were captured using my Sony A7R4 with a 24mm f/1.4 G-Master lens. The star tracker I used for this capture is the iOptron Skyguider pro.

The foreground image is a 9 panel panorama with 3 x 1 min exposures per panel. These images were also captured with the same camera and lens as the sky image.

If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask! I would love to share my process and journey with you. Thanks!
