Happy World Book Day! Today, we’re celebrating the books that fuel creativity in the sewing, quilting, and crafting world. Whether it's a sewing pattern, quilting book, or crafting inspiration, we’re honored to help bring these creative works to life with different bindings, sizes, and designs. A huge shoutout to all the amazing clients we get to partner with to create these masterpieces. Here’s to many more pages of inspiration!
Saddle Stitch Binding: A popular, more timely and cost-effective binding method where pages are folded, stacked and then secured by being stapled, or stitched, along the fold line. Used commonly for thinner materials like magazines, brochures and booklets.
Saddle Stitch Binding Option: Up to 2 large, oversized template sheets can be stitched into the center spread of the booklet with a third, center staple. This allows for the template sheet(s) to be pulled out while the rest of the book remains intact.
Perfect Binding: Gives you a professional, tailored look. The pages and cover are glued together on the spine with a strong, flexible glue. This binding is ideal for books with approximately 46+ pages and up to 2” thick. The cover also allows you to feature text or art on its spine.
OTA Binding: Similar to Perfect Binding, but in OTA Binding the text block is lined with an adhesive and the cover is bound on via the front & rear hinge only. This allows the book to open without bending the spine or pulling against it, and will lay flat.
Double Loop Metal Wire-o Binding: This binding uses metal loops creating secure, flat-lying books. The pages have holes punched near the spine and are joined together using a double loop metal wire. There are a rainbow of colors to choose from.
Semi-Concealed Cover with Double Loop Metal Wire-o Binding: This binding uses the Double Loop Metal Wire-o Binding, but the cover partially hides the wire that binds the book together.
Plastic Spiral Binding: This binding is threaded through holes punched near the spine; a spiral of plastic binds the pages together and offers greater durability as well as the ability to lay flat. There are a rainbow of colors to choose from.
