With only 29 residents in attendance at last night's special financial town meeting, there was no quorum and the town chose to go forward with a $6 million bond for wastewater treatment facility improvements.

Santa is coming to town hall this Thursday for pictures and the tree lighting!

The tree lighting will be at 5 p.m. and Santa will be riding in on a firetruck following the lighting.

Main Street shops will be staying open late, and a free trolley will be available for traveling up and down Main Street, provided by Bank RI.

Don't forget about the East Greenwich Special Financial Town Meeting tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m., where town officials will detail the work that needs to be done with the $6 million bond.

The meeting will take place at East Greenwich High School.

East Greenwich School District scored well above the state average on the new PARCC exams. Pick up a copy of the Pendulum to read about the individual scores from each EG school.

EGSD was found in violation of their contract with the East Greenwich Education Association, and will now need to pay 17 teachers at Cole Middle School additional money, following a Superior Court Decision.
