SINGER ART GROSSMAN met his oldest fan, Trudy, during a recent gig at the Fitch Home in Melrose, where he plays about four times a year. Last month, the staff told Art that on the morning of the concert Trudy, who is 106 years old, got up at 7:30 a.m., made her bed and then asked when the music would start. She would have to wait until 2 p.m. Throughout the hour-long performance, Art recalled: “She was singing and tapping her hands on the table in front of her.” Trudy was thrilled to have her photo taken with her idol after the show.
