Some families come into your life as clients… and somewhere along the way, they become part of your life. ❤️
This family is one of those families for me.
I’ve had the honor of photographing them through so many seasons. Since 2019 when it started with Maternity photos. I remember when these little ones were still growing in their mama’s belly. Then came the newborn days, the tiny stages, the growing personalities, the family sessions, and all the little moments in between.
And somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like I was just their photographer.
We became friends. Erika and I texted and talked about locations, outfits , the stress of family Photos , the time frames of photos because the kids were babies .
I got to watch her become a mama, watch her children grow, and even watch her discover photography herself. Seeing her pick up a camera and fall in love with capturing memories of her own has been such a special part of mine and her story. ❤️ and she probably wanted to save money with all the shoots she did with me . lol
That’s the part of this job that people don’t always see.
You think you’re booking a photographer for pictures… but sometimes you’re inviting someone into your family’s life. And sometimes, if you’re lucky, that relationship becomes something that lasts far beyond the photos. Hearing my bad boyfriend stories , showing her photos I’ve taken and learning curve with both of our suggestions and her helping me out .
For years, I got to watch these babies grow through my lens. And now one of them is five, getting ready for kindergarten, one in preschool and one now on the way and somehow, even for me it feels like it all happened in the blink of an eye. 🥹
And now they’re moving 😭😢😭
I’m genuinely so happy for them and this next chapter, but there’s a little piece of my heart that is sad knowing I won’t get those texts about the next session, the next milestone, or the next time I get to see how much these kids have grown.
I know life will take you all in new directions, but I hope you always know how incredibly grateful I am that our paths crossed Erika . That I taught you something that you will keep doing and going on forever, PHOTOGRAPHY.

And thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your family’s story.
I’ll always be cheering you on from here… and I have a feeling your photographer friend is still going to find a reason to photograph you whenever I can. ❤️📸 and come to Florida to take them.
