Kqkk 101.9 Fm/Kakk Am 1570 KQKK 101.9 FM is KQ102 "the Arrow" Walker, Minnesota. KQ102 plays Classic Hits with a mix of sports, news and weather for the Leech Lake area.

KAKK 1570 AM & 93.7 FM. Both stations carry high school sports for teams around the area, snow and trail reports in the winter and fishing shows in the summer.

De La Hunt Media Sports Director Curtis Joe and Play by play Announcer Jon Johnson were invited to the WHA Wolves Football banquet Sunday night. The Wolves finished the year as Sub-District Champions with a 5-0 District record.

WALKER, MN – OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION.

Cass County Sheriff Bryan Welk reports that on Sunday November 16th 2025 at 4:37PM the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call with the caller reporting hearing shooting near residences in the area of Old Agency Drive and Onigum Road NW (County Road 13), in Turtle Lake Township, rural Walker, MN. Deputies arrived in the area and initiated an investigation. A short time later, Deputies attempted to make contact with a male subject who was walking in the 8000 block of Onigum Road NW. The male subject fled on foot from Deputies and a foot pursuit ensued. There was an exchange of gun fire. During the shooting a Deputy was shot and transported via helicopter to a Fargo, ND hospital for further treatment. The male subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. Body worn cameras were utilized and active in this incident. Deputies involved have been placed on critical incident leave during the investigation. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is on scene and leading the investigation. Future information will be released by the MN BCA.
