Starbright Media Corporation, a media and education company based in Petoskey that specializes in history-based documentaries for national television, has announced that it will present its latest documentary on Dwight D. Eisenhower at John Hall Auditorium on the Bay View Association campus on Tuesday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
This screening becomes the world premiere of a film that was originally scheduled for its premiere during dedication week activities in Washington, D.C. for the new Eisenhower Memorial, according to George Colburn, the writer and producer of the program.
Entitled "Ike, 1941 - 1945: The Making of an American Hero," the documentary presented at Bay View, will be videotaped and then streamed at 7 p.m. on September 16 from the company's website, www.IkeWW2.com. It will be available for viewing on the website for 24 hours. At 7 p.m. on the 17th, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial will be dedicated in a small ceremony on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The event at Bay View is free of charge to the first 200 association members who sign in at the auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m.
