"Holy, Holy, Holy" is the only piano-organ duet I ever arranged. I got to play it recently with Peter Ramsey at a service honoring the nonagenarians (90+) at the church where I grew up. My father was one of those honored and I am so grateful that he was there and in great health!

I found this beautiful lilting melody in William Walker's Sacred Harp hymnal (from the 1800's.). It took many trips to the Wake Forest Library to dig up the author of the words (pre-Google days!) I found the words to be taken from a funeral song by Charles Wesley. I chose some of the less morbid verses and added one of my own to make it fit the joyful melody. My arrangement was first published in 1991, and later re-arranged by Benjamin Harlan, using my additional verse and music. Now, I am making it available FREE!

Written more than twenty years ago, this new setting is available here again for the first time in almost as many years. I dedicated this piece to Frances Ramsey Frick (1909-2001), my piano teacher, friend, and the person most responsible for my interest in church music.
