Heads up, California friends! PG&E might shut off power in parts of 24 counties starting today due to high winds and dry conditions that could increase wildfire risk. 😩 They're calling it a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS).
Here’s what you need to know:

The shutoff could start as early as 1 p.m. today (Thursday) and last until Saturday afternoon in some areas.

Around 20,000 customers could be affected. You can check if your address is included on PG&E’s website: www.pge.com/pspsupdates.

PG&E will open Community Resource Centers in affected counties where you can charge devices, get water and snacks, and find more information about the shutoff. Find a list of centers here: pge.com/crc.
Stay safe during a power outage!

Use battery-powered flashlights instead of candles.

Unplug appliances to avoid overloading circuits when power returns.

Keep your fridge and freezer doors closed to preserve food.

Earlier today, PG&E proactively shut off power for safety for approximately 1,100 customers in Tehama County and nearly 60 in Lake and Napa counties. As weather conditions have improved, “all-clear” notifications have allowed PG&E crews to begin inspection of the affected powerlines before re-energizing them.
