Today we are spotlighting our President, Elaine Appel!

Elaine is the majority owner of BL Publishing and takes great pride in her role as a leader in small business. Her mission is to empower business owners in Southern California by addressing their advertising needs. Elaine has spearheaded our efforts to recruit more minority-owned businesses into BL Publishing's portfolio, enriching our commitment to diversity.

Originally from the vibrant island of Jamaica, Elaine relocated to England during her teenage years before settling in California in 1976. With a rich background as a purchasing manager spanning two decades, she brings a wealth of experience to her endeavors. In addition to her role at BL Publishing, Elaine wears multiple hats as the owner, manager, and artistic director of a Caribbean R***e troupe that entertains audiences across California, from schools to corporate events and private gatherings. Committed to giving back, Elaine actively engages in providing free entertainment to inner-city and urban communities.

Married to Paul for 35 years, Elaine cherishes her family life with their daughter, Candice. In her capacity as the majority owner of BL Publishing/Bingo Lingo LLC, Elaine oversees the company's daily operations, with a keen focus on human resources and financial management.
