May 2nd at home in the fifth inning, Patick reaches the 60 pitch threshold and gets the righty batter in an 0-2 count. The batter hadn’t looked comfortable all night.

Behind home plate, a modest crowd in Rancho Cucamonga as Quakes fans leaned forward.

Patick didn’t overthink it. He broke off a sharp sweeper that was late and dove away. The hitter rolled it over, weakly, toward short. Routine play. Inning over.

We’ve all been there. We’re sitting down watching a movie when a random make out scene happens and you kind of sit there like, “What the hell is this?”

I’ve felt that a lot recently. I’ve decided to take on the gargantuan task of watching every Marvel movie in order and I’ve come to a realization. I feel Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and so many more fall in love and have that be one of the main propellants behind their heroism.

On May 26, at the West Covina Civic Center, city leaders, distinguished guests, first responders, veterans and community members gathered to honor and remember those that had made the ultimate sacrifice for our county.

The Claremont City Council met Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. to hear public comments relating to wild coyote issues, vote on the establishment of a local rental registry and an anti-harassment ordinance.

While not on the agenda, the bulk of the public comment was made regarding residents’ concerns about an increase in coyote activity. Before public comment was opened, the Inland Valley Humane Society assured residents that they were “totally aware” of the issue, and provided a phone number for residents to call.

The Mt. SAC Mounties advanced in the State Finals with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Sierra College in a battle that lasted 11 innings.

Mt. SAC started the game with momentum, retiring Sierra College in order in the top of the first inning. They quickly capitalized in the bottom half, scoring two runs to take an early lead. However, the game turned into a defensive standoff, with neither team scoring again until the fourth inning.

Labubu. Almost overnight the adorable furry keychain monster had a stranglehold on many people’s wallets and hearts but as cute as these creatures are, have they brought out the ugliness in all of us?

Full disclosure I am the proud mother of a toffee colored Labubu that sports an elegant black cloak with a small Hufflepuff patch. His name is Bill and I love him.

Golden hour crept on a Thursday afternoon, as the sunshine rays fell atop the industrial chic building that is Innovation Brew Works. The late week lull opens up to the buzz of conversations and clinking glasses as you walk through the doors. The tables filled with students from the Mt. SAC nursing program, eagerly releasing the stress of today’s class with a cold one. The warm air blows past your face as the student worker opens the oven to retrieve the next customer’s pizza order. A whiff of hops and dough greeted the olfactory in the nasal cavity.
