TheARTI$t is making every night on the road count as she steps into her next chapter in R&B. 🎶

Touring alongside Kehlani and Durand Bernarr has given the New Jersey singer a front-row education in everything from choreography and vocal arrangements to stage presence. She’s taking those lessons, making them her own, and challenging herself to leave the tour a stronger performer than when she arrived.

Watch more of EBONY’s Backstage Pass with TheARTI$t in the comments as she shares what life on the road is teaching her about the artist she’s becoming.

CLOSING SOON: “The Sound of Gordon Parks” is an immersive exhibition that explores the lesser-known sonic dimension of Gordon Parks’s artistic legacy. While Parks (1912–2006) is widely celebrated as a photographer, filmmaker, and writer, he was also a composer whose musical output has remained largely underexplored. Developed in partnership with The Gordon Parks Foundation and Mario Sprouse—Parks’s longtime musical assistant and archivist of more than twenty years—the exhibition invites visitors into the rich soundscape of the artist’s creative universe through music, video, and rarely seen archival materials.

The exhibition highlights the depth and range of Parks’s musical contributions, from orchestral works, such as “Concerto for Piano and Orchestra” (1952), to film scores, including for his directorial debut, “The Learning Tree” (1969). Providing access to rare demo recordings and previously unheard compositions, “The Sound of Gordon Parks” uncovers the auditory textures that shaped his practice and offers a fuller appreciation of this multidisciplinary creator.

“The Sound of Gordon Parks” is curated by Justen LeRoy, independent curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs and Programs, Art + Practice.

There’s something timeless about the music of Norah Jones.

With her warm, soulful voice and effortless blend of jazz, pop, folk, and country influences, Norah has captivated audiences around the world for more than two decades. Since the release of her Grammy-winning debut album, Come Away With Me, she has continued to create music that feels both intimate and unforgettable.

Whether she’s performing classics like “Don’t Know Why,” collaborating with other artists, or exploring new musical directions, Norah Jones reminds us that great music doesn’t have to be loud to leave a lasting impression—it simply has to be authentic.

What’s your favorite Norah Jones song or album? 🎶
