FELIX VERGARA, JR. MD, UPD ‘56. Passed on a few days ago, after 4 years of hemodialysis. Felix founded UERMMMC Beta Sigma in 1960 under threat of expulsion. Charter members all belonged to the top medical students of 1960, which averted his expulsion. This Chapter got full recognition by the medical school a few years after. Worked in the US immediately after passing the Board. Married a Sigma Betan Virgie Carino, also an MD grad of UP School of Medicine. Their union was blessed with 3 children, who also became MDs. No wake due to COVID19. His body was cremated yesterday in Delaware USA; according to Brod El Castro MD, Betan Last Rites will be held when the pandemic scare is over.

A VERY SAD DAY FOR THE FRATERNITY AND A GREAT LOSS FOR THE COUNTRY. Got news that Brod MAYOR BUTCH TADENA passed away due to cardiac arrest. Brod Butch UPLB68 was an OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVANT and was undefeated during his many years as Mayor until he maxed out his 3 terms, served as Vice Mayor under Brod Lito Tadena for another 3 terms, and then recently ran unopposed as Mayor again of Santo Domingo, Ilocos Sur. Under his service marked with passion for excellence, integrity and exemplary dedication, Santo Domingo received various awards for good governance.

PRAYERS FOR SENSEI NOLI. Here's TeC's message: "Noli is sick again. He was at the ER... He's pale, high blood pressure & high pulse with shortness of breath... Noli showed me his chest X-ray showed minute amount of fluid at the base of his heart. Thanking everybody for your prayers."
