BREAKING NEWS

**BEACHES AND SOME CAMPGROUNDS CLOSED AT LAKE WAPPAPELLO UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE**

High water on Lake Wappapello is forcing the closure of area beaches and selected campgrounds.

According to the US Army Corps of Engineers, all beaches will be closed until further notice as will sites 26 through 38 at Peoples Creek Lower Campground.

Officials say that the crest for the lake is predicted to be at 367.5 feet Wednesday.

Anyone wanting further information is asked to contact the Wappapello Lake Management Office at 573-222-8562.
