We can all contribute to making Warm Springs a healthier community. A first step is understanding Risk and Protective Factors.
Risk factors are personal traits, conditions in the family, school or community that are linked to a youth’s likelihood of engaging in delinquency, substance abuse and other problem behaviors.
Those factors can be offset by Protective Factors.
Adult relatives, community members and peers can all make a difference in positive ways, by being involved with our youth. Whether you are engaging
in positive activities with family, coaching a youth team, or just striking up a
conversation with a young person – it will help to make them understand that there is a lot of positivity in Warm Springs and that people care.
