Ben's Tidbit Tuesday

Ben's Tidbit Tuesday A tidbit is often thought of as a small portion of information or something.

But it can be enough to cause you to want more, even if you must acquire it yourself.

"Expectations"

So, I had a long talk Monday with someone whom I have a deep spiritual connection with over the last 14 years.

That conversation caused me to really examine myself about how expectations govern our choices.

While on the road Tuesday, I found it difficult to focus on the topic I had for tidbit Tuesday. My thoughts kept returning to expectations.

One thing led to another and I didn't post anything. Even though I knew there would be expectations.

Today, my thoughts still would not stray from "expectations".

How often do we "do" or "do not" because of others' expectations?

'For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you.' says the Lord, 'plans for peace and well-being and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

This verse reminds us that God’s plans are purposeful and hopeful, even during seasons of waiting or uncertainty.

For the creation eagerly awaits with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed. Romans 8:19

This verse declares that all creation is eagerly longing for God’s children to fully rise and reveal His power, character, and glory in the earth.

Surely there is a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18

The last verse is especially encouraging because it teaches that godly expectation is not wasted.

So, even though something comes after the expected time, don't let our expectations diminish the impact of truth and the affect it should have on our lives..

Peace, Love & Blessings everyone!
