Hey friends! We’re officially in Lent now, and Fr. Sean is here to remind us what this special season is all about.

During these 40 days, we’re on a journey of growth, kindness, and connection. It’s not about being sad or giving things up just for the sake of it. It’s about becoming our best selves and showing more love to the people around us.

🧺 The Empty Basket Easter Tradition 🧺

Meet Mrs. Emma, and let her tell you why this Easter tradition is pure genius for families!

“Listen, parents— something you should try this Easter and it’s the most meaningful way to help kids actually *understand* Easter instead of just hunting for chocolate. Here’s the magic:

🤍 SATURDAY: Leave the basket empty
Your kids see an empty basket and you tell them: ‘Jesus’ tomb was empty.’ It’s simple. It’s powerful. It sticks with them.

🌸 SUNDAY: Fill it with joy
Easter morning? The basket is FULL of eggs, flowers, treats, and joy. ‘Jesus is alive!’ Now they get it. The empty becomes full. Death becomes life. Hope becomes real.

📚 What is Ash Wednesday? A Guide for Kids 📚

✨ WHAT IS IT?
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day journey where we think about what matters most. Many people get ashes marked on their forehead in the shape of a cross.

📖 WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
This tradition goes back thousands of years! People used ashes as a sign of wanting to do better and grow. The ashes we use today come from blessed palm branches—nothing is wasted! It connects us to something bigger than ourselves.

🤔 WHY ASHES?
The ashes remind us to be kind, thoughtful, and to grow as people. The cross says: “I’m on a journey to become my best self.”

💜 HOW CAN YOU PRACTICE IT?
✨ Get your ashes at a service
