What do you think, is this one pre-1960s milk glass? It seems a bit less opaque than milk glass normally is, but that can happen with really old milk glass as well. This one doesn't have any markings on it.

Kill fast fashion, and get more unique clothes in the process! I thrifted this shirt AND the fabric paint to make this! The stencil itself I made out of a discarded posterboard. Now I have a geeky p***y custom D20 shirt.

I shared my first Whatnot show, so in the interest of transparency and education: here are the results of my second show. I was planning on going about the same amount of time as my first show, but after 30 minutes of no sales, I called it. The one order you see is a giveaway I did. Definitely not the energy and success I had in the first show!

While I can't for sure pinpoint what the difference was, I can note the differences that could have had an impact. It wasn't my first show, and I believe Whatnot pushes first shows harder than second shows. I was selling toys this time, while I was selling plushies last time. And I didn't do as much hyping and posting about this show as I did the previous one.

On the flip side (that I thought would work in my favor) I had way more followers on Whatnot this time. I had talked about this show during my previous show so people could save it. And I was able to run the show more smoothly because I understood the platform better.

Coming at you with behind-the-scenes insider info! Curious how a first Whatnot show might go? Here are the stats for my very first show. Take that sales number with a big ole grain of salt, though; I paid $83.43 in shipping and fees, so my total was $86.57 after that. Not too bad, until you divide that by two hours of show time for two people (thanks hubs for helping!), plus about two hours of set up, product costs, and another two+ hours of packing and labeling and shipping and well... let's just say it's a work of passion. 😅

If it's something you enjoy doing, and you plan to keep building, definitely worth it. But if you were hoping for a "get rich quick" plan, it might not be your thing.

We did our wedding a little differently. Instead of dancing, we had arts and crafts. The kicker? Almost everything was thrifted! I thrifted calendars, art books, glue, scissors, sketchbooks, origami paper, paint, brushes, and more so we could have craft stations at our wedding. I'm so glad I did, because it's so much more "us."

From a follower: "Thought I'd share the fun deal I found today at a thrift shop. Went in and they had all their toys half off. I found a bunch of stuffed animals for my hospice group to give to my clients. In the process, I found these cute little durable stuffed animals that matched 5 of my grandkids. They loved their perfect matches. All for $2!"

I love this so much!
