Folks out in that area-can you keep an eye out?
My name is Jennifer Westhoff, I live in Stanley outside of Luray and own Raptor Hill falconry School.
On Friday I lost one of my Falcons near the Foleys farm.
He has a GPS system on his back that looks like a little blue rocket pack but the battery has died. He also has a reward/phone number Tag on his right leg. There is a large reward for the safe return of this bird.
He is a fabulous education bird and has taught thousands of people about nature and conservation.
He may be found sitting on Barns or roof lines searching for small birds to eat. He is very friendly and might approach in a stoop or a dive if hungry. He is a little smaller than a hawk and looks identical to a peregrine falcon.
Please pass this info on to anyone you think might be able to help. Landowners, Farmers, rehabbers, birders, that's, falconers.
Thank you so much, Jennifer Westhoff
