Hi villagers, We just wanted to let you know that due to impending weather (un us being a little under it) - we'll be battening down the hatches and staying home, tomorrow. Enjoy the snow day and have a very happy and healthy new year.

God rest ye' merry snack munchers,

We've many scones and pies, to fill you up this holiday.

Come see in our alcove, we will spread some merry cheer,
And, we thaaaaank you for giving us your kind support this year.

THIS WEEK: Back in the alcove we go! Let it snow let it snow let it snow! We'll be there, with FRESH pecan pies and FRESH cranberry pies for your holiday joy and the raisin scones will warm your bones. We'll be joined, once again, by our friends Double Dragon Coffee Viet Cafe for coffee and free cookies and Lydia's Closet Thrift Store will be right down the stairs and open for business for those persnickety gift receivers on your list! They are full of great stuff at bargain prices. Also, Consider dropping off some dry goods, as a donation to the Church's food bank drive. We'll make sure they get to the cart.

SO - Shop smart. Shop S(mall)Mart. Buy local and eat fresh. You won't be sorry!

People keep asking for cinnamon scones,
We've made a batch just to settle your jones.
THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're gonna' to do it, anyhow; no matter how the wind is blowin'. Find us in the alcove at the Edgewood Congregational Church that connects to the "You Rock School of Music," next to the CVS on Norwood Avenue. We'll supply another helping of French Meat Pie - to stick to your ribs on these blustery days of New England, early winter. Cinnamon Scones are a spicy bite, this holiday season - and just the thing to go with that hot cup of tea or coffee. And - speaking of coffee - we have a new partner joining us in the alcove, this Saturday.
We hope you'll all join us in warmly welcoming Dragon coffee Viet Cafe. They have a spectacular gift for custom cookies, donut snacks, cakes, and great coffee beans, whole and pre-ground. Their Christmas Cookies will be astonishing.

November gave us quite the shiver,
No car left with, to deliver.
Spinning heads and painful limbs,
Kept us in the gloom and grim.
With wounds-a-healing, cars a-renting,
Back to kitchen work, we're venting.
Back to cookies, pies, and scones,
Back to soothing hungry bones.

THIS WEEK - was are (finally) back to our shiny little alcove between the Edgewood Congregational Church and the You Rock School of Music, after a terrible car accident made us take a time out. We'll make the famous and comforting French Meat Pies - and you can wash that down with the ever popular Garlic and Romano Scone™. We'll also have a limited supply of fresh breads and our usual assortment of cookies, nuts, and other wonderous snacks for your movie, fireplace, or streaming binges.

SO - Come on down to Church and see us in the Alcove. You won't be sorry.

We're saddened to have disappeared,
We're truly very sorry.

Our chief and clear pie-engineer,
was banged up by a lorry.

*crash*

We're healing now, and grateful how,
we dodged a bigger bullet.

We'll, soon, come back, and there, we vow ,
how well we'll stuff your gullet.

In the meantime - don't be fooled by substitutes.

When life and times throw you a curve
Be smart enough to duck and swerve.
It's not enough to do your best,
Sometime you have to take a rest.

So, on that note, remark our fate,
We'll take time to deliberate.
But, while we do, do not despair,
For we will make a deal that's fair-

If you ask us to and pay us,
We'll bring you pies on our hiatus.

This week, we will take a short break from the pop-up shop to recover from a traffic accident and fill a large order and work on a new podcast.

Next week - we will be back to our Church Alcove haunt with FRESH pies and FRESH cookies and FRESH scones. If you have a pie order (Pumpkin/Squash, blueberry, sweet potato, pecan, cherry, peach, French Meat, Chicken pot) - email it right to [email protected] The fresh large pies are $27 each.
