We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Steven Louis Calitri, founder of American Towman Media and Expositions. Steve was a true visionary who dedicated more than four decades to elevating the towing industry and shining a light on the hardworking men and women who serve America’s roads every day.

His passion for professionalism, his respect for the grit of the Towman, and his unwavering commitment to the industry created a legacy that will live on for generations. Steve uplifted thousands of towers and touched countless lives across the country.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a champion of the towing community.
Rest in peace, Steve.

🤠 PBR Night at the American Towman Expo – What a Ride!

The American Towman Exposition in Baltimore was a blast, but the PBR Cowboy Bar night stole the show! From great food and drinks to amazing music, the highlight had to be the mechanical bull—shoutout to everyone brave enough to hop on and show off their skills!

First Storm, No Days Off

Driver Christian Kinnison and his crew from Billings, Montana have been on the road around the clock, Thanksgiving included, helping stranded drivers stay safe in the icy conditions.

Tower Spotlight: Tyler Blankenship
This week, a local Tennessee news outlet highlighted the dedication of Tyler Blankenship of Hanover Wrecker Service in Kodak, TN. His story is one every tower can relate to.

A third-generation operator, Tyler has built a multi-state business on grit, faith, and professionalism. From late-night emergency calls to working alongside police, fire, and EMS, he embodies the heart of the industry.

“We’re out here helping people, and I hope we’re God-sent,” he says.

With five locations across Tennessee and West Virginia, Tyler continues pushing his team forward through training, adaptability, and a passion that started long before he could drive. A tow truck driver from Mass. died after his tow truck was hit and sent off an overpass on Route 140 in Freetown. The towman was identified as 52-year-old operator Manuel Andrade.
