What do Flight to the Moon (1971-1975), Mission to Mars (1975-1993), Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounters (1995-2003), and Stitch’s Great Escape (2004-2020) have in common? Location! Location! Location!

Each of these attractions occupied the same space located on the north side of the entrance to Tomorrowland. The space is now used mostly for character meet-and-greets.

October 3, 1971, the first guest stepped aboard a “flying” vessel and soared over London and Neverland on Peter Pan’s Flight in the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland at Walt Disney World. Based on the 1953 film, this classic ride first appeared on opening day, July 17, 1955 in Disneyland.
