Mariam Abu Daqqa…
The daughter of Gaza, the journalist who never lived for herself alone.
When her father needed life, she gave him her kidney. When Gaza needed truth, she gave it her heart, her voice, her camera.
Mariam was not just a journalist.
She was Gaza itself — bleeding, resisting, crying out to the world: “I am human, and I deserve to live.” She believed words could be stronger than bullets, and that a single photo could expose a thousand lies.
But Israel could not tolerate her voice.
It could not bear her humanity.
It could not stand the light shining from a woman’s heart. So they killed her — silenced her — the way they have tried to silence every truth-teller in Gaza.
What kind of cruelty murders a daughter who gave life to her father with her own body, and gave life to her people with her soul?
What kind of enemy hunts down journalists simply because they refuse to lie?
Mariam did not fall alone. She joined the long line of her fellow journalists — voices of Gaza who carried their cameras instead of weapons, who chose truth instead of silence, and paid for it with their lives.
Mariam Abu Daqa will never be just another name on a list. Her life is a testimony that Israel fears truth more than anything else.
Her kidney still beats inside her father — proof that she was born to give life.
Her voice still echoes in Gaza — proof that truth can never be killed.
If the murder of Mariam and her fellow journalists does not shake your conscience, then what is left of your humanity?
