When I was in Luxembourg this past weekend, my friend brought up an article that showed a crane tearing into the White House. She asked me if it was real. No way! I said, that has to be fake news.
Well, I was wrong.

Trump is destroying the East Wing without going through any approval process to do so. This man truly has no limits or accountability. All so he can build a 300 million dollar ballroom.

🎤 The Nobel Peace Prize recipient has been announced!

😍 María Corina Machado Parisca, who was the force behind the legitimate winner of the Venezuelan elections (she was eliminated from running after she won the primary) is an absolute inspiration. I did a whole episode on Venezuela last year where I break down her background and leadership style. She is courageous, caring, compassionate, and a community builder. People LOVED her. She's an emblem of transformational, love based leadership in a place that has been run on fear for dozens of years.

Katrina Burgess, professor at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and Carolina Jimenez Sandoval, head of Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), joined me to talk about the rise of women in Venezuelan politics and how Maria Cochina Machado became so popular.

Changemaker/incredible woman alert!

I was lucky enough to have had Kimberly Williams as a client, where I watched her tirelessly advocate for her employees. She also conducted a gender pay equity analysis, advocated for pay corrections for any underpaid woman and was never afraid to speak truth to power. Yet she did it in the most diplomatic way possible, as a former diplomat!

The whole time I was inspired by her leadership taking forward the psychological safety bill in DC, which Empower Global signed onto.

She’s now founded The Fair Path Project , which is dedicated to helping victims of bullying in the workplace. Whether it’s through coaching, referring them to resources, helpful interviews, legislation advocacy, working with people to document bullying and ensure they have a claim and getting them ready to sue their employer- Kim is a woman on a mission and I am proud to call her my friend and strategic partner now, not just my client.
