👁️We are seeing something pretty wild right now- Democrats are poised to take senate seats in states where they never have had a chance.

🎤🎙️I was pleased to share my commentary and thoughts today on the Texas Senate Race on NewsNation
weekend morning show with Anna Koomain, and fellow commentator Jeanette Hoffman.

🦸The thing I find most important about this race is seeing how Texas voters are sick of leaders like Paxton who have no moral compass, who are entrenched in corruption and serving their own interests above that of their constituents. Talarico, a former middle school teacher and seminarian, is stressing public education, healthcare, and countering corruption.

There is a reason it is called public service - when you’re elected to public office your mandate is to serve the public, not ignore their concerns and use it as a tool to enrich yourself, like Trump has done, making millions off of oil and gas stocks whilst the average American struggles to make ends meet with rocketing gas prices, groceries and healthcare costs.

This is also why business leaders don’t necessarily make the best public sector leaders- if they have been trained on maximizing shareholder value and profit above all, it’s a completely different orientation than that of a public servant, who yes must manage a budget, but must put people first and foremost.
