It’s not super easy to tell from the pictures, but my new tire I just bought is way smaller than the old one. They are both exactly the same size so I don’t know if I’m missing something. The only thing I can think of is that the new one is a dual sport tire. New one is a Kenda track master and the old one is a Bridgestone motocross

Went through some quaint towns, went through some ‘Pennsyltucky’ towns, the PA Wilds are an underrated oddity that lies just beyond the other side of my home state. The 300L didn’t bat an eye at any challenge, just kept asking for more.

Hi all!
I got the 5.7 Gal (21.5l) Tank from IMS. Mounting was a breeze and the quality feels decently high. However I do feel like it has a bunch of caveats that shouldn't be overlooked.

Weight distribution

with the tank being the way it is the bulk of the fuel sits above the saddle, wich makes the bike very top-heavy. When fully tanked the bike feels noticably sluggish

2) usable fuel volume

I was surpsied to have the fuel light light up after around 12l of use, riding downhill, doing stoppies and wheelies on a closed course ofcourse helped it and after around 16l I had the first bog. I was doing mostly calm street riding for a few days but still I feel like only being able to use around 4.5 / 5.7 gal (16l/21.5l) is a bit of a design flaw

3) Cost

living in central europe as a petrol head is hard enough and the tarifs of the orange man defo didn't help. on top of the 400.- for the tank I had to pay almost 200.- in shipping and fees, for EU riders please keep that in mind.

I'm looking for some alternatives now, preferrably in a rally style.

I've looked at the MST rally tanks wich look great, however they only come in a kit and I dont think they would fit around the original exhaust (wich I cant swap because of EU laws yey)

does anyone of you have an alternative or will I have to lear aluminium welding to get the desired result?

Fun night ride with a Desert Unlimited XL80. If It wouldn’t have been last minute, I would have swapped out to my flat black front fender and put on a different helmet visor to reduced the glare, luckily I had the DirtdFactory dash.
