Our man Bundy with a trophy Gar caught 5/22 Alexandria VA! est weight of 15/16lbs! We've caught some nice ones over the years but this was by far the largest at around 4 feet. We also managed to kill 4 Blue catfish(putting the total at 4,371 since 2021), while catching and releasing this Gar, a few stripers, a big yellow perch, a walleye, and a beautiful channel cat:)

we hve removed over 4,000 blue catfish from the Potomac river since 2020. Thank you for your support of our mission! please help us spread the word about this invasive specie!

During the 2023 shad run, so many Blues came out like this fat pig. They were bloated with baitfish and STILL FEEDING RAVENOUSLY. Insatiable! I was sure there was a problem before, I think it might be time for a round up fish BBQ event….

Fighting a Meg on a kayak is an adventure. Here is an example of a fish so big it tows the boat around the river. Best advice is to hold on with two hands and let the fish drag you. You have to keep them off the bottom, but let that Pig run itself out before trying to handle it! and as always: KILL the fish!
