Meet the A-10 Warthog. We got within maybe a few inches of this famous Air Force plane at an airshow in Lakeland, Florida. She clearly had some miles on her, but looked like she was ready to head off to the Strait of Hormuz if needed.

Ok, so we went a little crazy taking pictures of the F-14D Tomcat that is sitting at the Smithsonian. This was, after all, the plane that flew in the Top Gun movies! She looks in amazing condition and could jump right back on an aircraft carrier. Sadly, she has been retired for something like 20 years.

This is the D-21B. This was a Cold War drone that tried to spy on Chinese nuclear tests in the 1960s. She looks a lot like the SR-71 Blackbird, as they share the same technology. We saw this last year at the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. Want to see more of this? We have MANY more photos!

You can actually walk under a B-52 bomber at the National Museum of the US Air Force and see the bombs under this massive plane. Sort of weird that this is in a museum when we sent the B-52H model to attack Iran. If you are in Dayton, Ohio, you really need to go to this museum.

The Boeing X-40A is an almost forgotten exhibit at the National Museum of the US Air Force, but we literally bumped into this amazing spaceplane last year. This is surely one of the evolutionary steps toward the X-37B that has China and Russia so worried. This is just a sample of the photos we took. Let us know if you want to see more!

Meet the YF-23 Stealth Fighter. This is the plane that could be flying in the US Air Force right now instead of the F-22 Raptor. Sadly, it was not to be. There are only two left. This is now preserved at the US Air Force Museum out in Dayton, Ohio. We have several hundred photos we took of this plane and will keep posting them over the next several weeks. We also have photos of the other YF-23 we will display later today. That plane is in California near LA.

We got really close to the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber - the same bomber that famously attacked Iran. She is sitting at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force right now. I would go there at opening time, since it's empty and you can take some amazing photos. As Russia and China try to build stealth bombers, we have one in a museum. Shows you how far ahead the US Air Force is!

This is the B-36; she is massive. We saw her last year at the National Museum of the US Air Force. She looks brand new and ready to fly. We made this video to show her size and what a piece of US Air Force History she really is.

Meet the B-58 Hustler. Many forget about this US Air Force bomber, but it was very fast and was thought to be a replacement for the B-52. She could reach Mach 2 but had many technical problems. We saw her last year at the National Museum of the US Air Force.
