The power of art to convey and curate an experience of heritage, legacy and roots…

I am reminded on Juneteenth of the Sankofa spirit within that is core to my continual reflection in remaining connected with my ancestors and history; as I pave a path forward in creating moments of identity and wellness for those who do serve to use all of their “being” for freedom…as expressed by Nina Simone, freedom isn’t just a political concept but also a deeply personal and emotional one.

Feeling empowered by the experience shared and spoken with the women in yesterday's support group - who know firsthand how to be resilient - and are ready to embrace rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. They are a special community and Mindfulness A.R.T.E. is humbled to have a meaningful presence in their journey.
