If someone followed you for a whole day, would your words and actions point them to Jesus? ❤️

From a recovering people-pleaser person 🙋‍♀️ For many of us, people-pleasing isn’t just about being “too nice.” It can be a pattern we learned to feel safe, accepted, or needed.

One of the most important things a people-pleaser person needs to learn is that self-care isn’t selfish. We need to take care of ourselves and manage our own boundaries, commitments, and expectations so when we’re around other people, we can be the best version of ourselves.

I came across these affirmations from psychotherapist Dr. Alison Cook | Psychotherapist + Secure Attachment and I felt they were too good not to share, especially for anyone who has struggled with people-pleasing ⬇️

➡️ People-pleasing is rarely about being nice. It’s often about feeling safe.

➡️ If saying no fills you with guilt, it doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.

➡️ Someone else’s disappointment is not proof that you’ve failed.

➡️ You can be loving without being endlessly available.

➡️ Your worth is not determined by how useful you are to others.

➡️ Healthy boundaries often feel uncomfortable before they feel freeing.

➡️ You don’t have to explain every decision you make.

➡️ Being needed and being loved are not the same thing.

➡️ The goal isn’t to stop caring. The goal is to stop abandoning yourself.

➡️ The people-pleasing pattern isn’t the problem, the deeper fear underneath it is what deserves your attention.

If this speaks to you, I hope it reminds you: caring for yourself doesn’t make you selfish. It allows you to love others from a healthier place! 💛

Chia seeds are packed with fiber, plant-based protein, antioxidants, and omega-3 fats. But their outer fiber layer can make some of those nutrients harder to access. Grinding them breaks open that layer, which may help your body better access what’s inside✨

My new little kitchen habit? 🤍
Grinding my chia seeds right before eating them. It only takes a few seconds in a spice or coffee grinder.

A little tip: avoid grinding a large batch too far in advance. The healthy fats in chia seeds can be more exposed to oxygen, which may affect their freshness and flavor.

Welcome to my 80s & 90s Date Night Series! 🍦
I’m starting a new series to help couples bring more intentional time and fun back into their relationship! Date ideas inspired by the 80s and 90s! 🤍

My husband and I love everything about these decadesthe nostalgia, the slower pace, and the simplicity of making memories together.

And I know sometimes the hardest part of planning a date is simply coming up with an idea… so I’m creating this series to give you inspiration! Feel free to save these ideas, copy and paste them! 😁

First up: a frozen custard date. 🍨

A simple trip for a sweet treat, a walk afterward, and time to just enjoy each other.

Because sometimes the best dates aren’t the most expensive or elaborate ones… they’re the ones that create connection, laughter, and memories!💕 🍨 ✨
