Country legend Dolly Parton recently passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the age of 80. It was reported that she took her last breaths at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville. Her death comes as a shock to many, especially since, just days before her passing, she spoke openly about continuing to work despite her declining health. Parton made comments like, “You know me — as I’ve often said — I’ve dreamed myself into a corner and I still have so many things I want to achieve, so I’m gonna keep on working as long as I can to see everything come to life,” and most heartbreaking of all, her October 2025 video stating bluntly, “I ain’t dead yet!” This shock was further emphasized since three days before her passing, she claimed interest in connecting with fans through avatar performances.
