Stobnica Castle, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship near the village of Stobnica, is a modern yet historically styled structure built to resemble a medieval fortress. Despite its old-world appearance, construction of the castle began in the early 2010s by a private investor, aiming to recreate the grandeur of medieval architecture with modern techniques. Situated on an artificial island within a nature reserve, the castle features high towers, fortified walls, and a vast complex evocative of a royal residence. Its development sparked significant controversy due to environmental concerns and legal disputes over construction permits, but it remains one of the most visually striking contemporary castle projects in Europe.
