Adult dragonflies can take 30 to 100 mosquitoes a day, and their nymphs eat mosquito eggs underwater.

Together they cut bites and help keep ponds clearer, making them one of the most effective natural pest controls.

A Florida couple is celebrating 83 years of marriage — the longest ever recorded, according to Fox 13.

Lyle Gittens, 108, and his wife Eleanor Gittens, 107, were recognized by Guinness World Records not only as the oldest living married couple (by combined age) but also as the oldest married couple ever.

They were married in 1942 and have stayed together to this day, crediting the secret to their longevity in marriage as "love, love, love."

Norway is pioneering large-scale seaweed farming, an innovative practice that turns its coastlines into significant carbon sinks.

These underwater forests absorb carbon more efficiently than terrestrial forests while simultaneously cleaning the ocean.

This sustainable aquaculture provides a valuable, renewable resource for various industries, including food, fuel, and other commercial products, offering a powerful solution for both climate change and economic development.

💔 The Man Who Refuses to Let Children Die Alone
For over 30 years, Mohamed Bzeek, an Arab-American from California, has done something most hearts couldn’t bear — he’s opened his home to children the world has given up on.
He is one of the only foster parents in Los Angeles who cares exclusively for terminally ill children — those who have no family left to hold them through their final days.
“I’ve cared for 80 children,” he says softly.
“Ten of them died in my arms.”
Many arrive without names.
He gives them one.
Many are expected to live only weeks.
Some stay for years.
He knows every yes will end in heartbreak — but he says yes anyway.
Because in his home, no child dies in a hospital bed surrounded by machines.
They die in peace.
In warmth.
In love.
Today, Mohamed himself battles cancer.
Yet he continues — caring for a little girl born with severe brain deformities, a child the system forgot.
“She has feelings. She has a soul,” he says. “She’s a human being. I know it hurts, but in my heart, I believe we should help each other.”
They call him the Muslim Mother Teresa.
But he doesn’t seek titles.
He seeks to make sure that every child — no matter how brief their life — is loved until the very last breath. ❤️

In a small home in Azusa, California, lives a man named Mohamed Bzeek — a quiet hero who has spent more than 30 years opening his doors to children no one else will take in — kids with terminal illnesses, abandoned by their families, with nowhere to go.

He gives them what the world couldn’t: a home, a name, and love in their final days. Many of these children arrive barely able to see, speak, or move — but Mohamed holds them, sings to them, and stays by their side until their last breath.

He’s buried ten of the children he’s cared for. Still, he continues.
When his wife Dawn — who began this mission with him — passed away, Mohamed carried on alone, saying:

“Every life has value. No child should die without knowing they were loved.”

He works around the clock, often sleeping beside the kids to make sure they don’t wake up scared or in pain. No fame. No fortune. Just faith and love — the purest kind.

When MacKenzie Scott was a student at Princeton, she studied creative writing with Nobel Prize–winning author Toni Morrison. In those classes, it wasn't just about writing. Toni taught her students to notice people, their voices, and the stories that reveal their struggles and dreams. Those lessons stayed with MacKenzie for the rest of her life.

MacKenzie's journey wasn't easy. Her family went bankrupt before Princeton. While waitressing in New York after college in 1992, she struggled to pay rent and wrote to Toni through letters preserved in the Toni Morrison Papers at Princeton University. She continued writing and eventually published two novels.

Toni Morrison passed away on August 5, 2019 at 88 years old. Her belief in empathy and humanity lives on through MacKenzie Scott's extraordinary giving. To date, she has donated over $19.25 billion to schools, nonprofits, and communities in need, including $1.06 billion to historically Black colleges and universities. Their story reminds all of us how one teacher's care can inspire a lifetime of compassion.
