Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff are the legendary songwriting and production duo behind the iconic Philadelphia soul sound of the 1970s, commonly known as the “Philly Sound.” As founders of Philadelphia International Records, they helped shape the sound of modern R&B and soul music, writing and producing more than 175 gold and platinum records. Their groundbreaking contributions to music earned them induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

On June 10, WHUT hosted a special Kings of Music Meet & Greet at SOST featuring legendary vocalists Gerald Alston and Russell Thompkins, Jr.

Guests enjoyed an evening of music, conversation, and community, along with signed memorabilia, photo opportunities, and a chance to connect with two artists whose voices helped define generations of R&B and soul music.
