Richard hadn't seen his daughter since his wife's funeral, four years ago. Nothing was really the same since his wife died. As the years rolled past, Richard missed his daughter more and more...

He knocked on the door. When Deidre opened the front door, he spread his arms wide and yelled, "Surprise!"

"Dad? What are you doing here?" Tears ran freely down Deidre's face as she looked at Richard in horror.

"I came to celebrate my birthday with you...it's the big eight-oh, and I wanted to spend it with my daughter." Richard reached out to take Deidre's hand. "What's going on, honey? Why are you crying?"

"It's nothing; everything's fine." Deidre quickly wiped her eyes and smiled a little. "I just... I wasn't expecting you and this isn't really a good time."

"I know you're probably busy, but I can wait." Richard leaned sideways to catch Deidre's eye as she glanced over her shoulder.

"No, you can't come in." Deidre closed the door until only half her face was visible. "Sorry, Dad," she said, then closed the door right in front of him.👇

George and Lena sat comfortably in their cozy living room, the soft glow of candlelight casting flickering shadows on the walls.

"You know," George said, his voice light with nostalgia, "I was just thinking about the first time we met. Remember? It was during the school trip to the beach. I think I was like 10 back then. We were from different schools. Something about that day stuck with me."

"I don't really remember much about that day," Lena said, her eyes focused on the glass in her hands.

George chuckled, clearly oblivious to her discomfort. "How can you forget?" he teased gently, his excitement growing.

"It was the first time I saw you, down by the water, laughing with your friends. We even took a picture together. Hang on, let me get the photo album!"

He flipped through each page carefully, each picture sparking memories of days long gone.

Finally, he found it — a photo from the school trip to the beach, the one he had been eager to show Lena. In the picture, a young Lena stood beside him, her smile as bright as the summer sun.

But as his eyes roamed over the image, something strange caught his attention.

MY BEST FRIEND ASKED ME TO WATCH HER KIDS FOR AN HOUR – THE NEXT TIME I SAW HER WAS 7 YEARS LATER

I remember that day like it was yesterday, even though it was 7 years ago. I came home from work, sat on the couch to watch a movie, and suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

It was my best friend, Chris, standing there with her two kids (5 years and 2 months old). She said she had to see a doctor urgently and had no one to watch the kids.

"CAN YOU WATCH THEM FOR AN HOUR? I'LL BE BACK SOON," Chris said.

I couldn't say no. But unfortunately, I didn't see her again for 7 long years... until a week ago.

We were walking along the ocean shore in the evening, laughing — just me, Dylan, and Mike (the same two boys), when I suddenly spotted CHRIS in the crowd!

"IS THAT HER?" asked Dylan, who remembered her well.

"Yes..." I replied. Dylan immediately ran towards her, and when he reached her, she ⬇️

MY FIANCÉ MOCKED MY ANNIVERSARY GIFT FOR HIM IN FRONT OF OUR FRIENDS, BUT I DIDN'T LET IT SLIDE.

My fiancé Mike and I always celebrate our anniversary with the friends who introduced us. But yesterday, everything just fell apart.

There we were, having a great time, and then Mike gives me this gorgeous necklace with a diamond heart. I was over the moon. But I'd also been working on a special gift for him for months. I put so much love into it TO IMPRESS HIM. So, I hand it over, telling him how much he means to me, all excited and... I just go pale when I see his reaction.

He opens it and pulls this face, like he just smelled something awful, and goes, "What?! Just a ⬇️

I FOUND MY LATE MOM’S DIARY AND IT MADE ME REGRET MY WHOLE LIFE

My mom has always been very greedy. Even though my parents made good money, I grew up wearing thrift store clothes, never went to birthday parties because we'd have to buy gifts, and I didn't even know what pocket money was. Dad would secretly spoil me with movies and treats, but after he passed away, life became unbearable. When my mom took my college money, I was DONE. I left and cut ties with her.

A few days ago, I got a call: my mom died. After the funeral, I went to sort out some of her things. Among the modest dresses, I saw her diary.

As I was reading her words, I realized my whole childhood was a lie. Tears streamed down my face as I read, "Dear diary, I hate ⬇️

The woman was sitting on the pavement in front of a popular bar and beside her, wrapped up in a bundle of ragged blankets was a baby about one year old.

"Please, sir," she whined. "I need money to buy food for my baby, sir..."

Brian didn't like giving to beggars, but something about the tiny form of the baby slumbering next to the filthy woman moved him. He reached into his pocket and drew out his wallet. He hesitated, then put a $20 bill in the woman's tin cup.

"Bless you, sir, bless you!" the woman cried, then she quickly took the $20 and tucked it away in her bra.

The next day, the woman was there again, sitting against the wall, chanting the same pleas for help to feed her child. The same thing happened the following days, only her tatty clothes changed. Sometimes her sweater was cherry-red, another time acid-yellow, or a dirty purple.

What never changed was the baby. It always lay by her side, eyes closed, the breeze stirring its soft blond curls, caressing its rosy cheeks.

It wasn't just a coincidence and the curiosity of the elderly Brian would change the life of this baby forever. in the comments. ⬇️
