Moderated & Founded by t.v./media personality & socio-political commentator, Howard Nelson Cromwell, (who also goes by the moniker) The Conservative Urbanite (TCU), is a media & news organization comprised of an online community, blog, and soon, web show & podcast, where free-thinking Conservative can come get a perspective on issues important to them. TCU practices a "Conservatism for the Culture" approach offering reporting, commentary, and insight on social-political issues from a Pro-Black Conservative/Republican perspective and how it relates to the Black experience. TCU's community slogan is "Traditional Middle-American Values Meets Metro City Common Sense" which is an attempt to merge the gap between Traditional (white Christian) Conservatives and more diverse (POC, LGBT, etc.) Conservatives to strengthen the Conservative Movement as a whole. TCU encourages the Black community to become more active in the political process and civic engagement, both on the local and national levels. Our goal is to connect conservative values with both the history and current state of the black culture.
