The Village went on air in June 2002 thanks to Robert Aubry Davis and help from Tom Paxton among others. We are a 24/7 commercial free folk channel on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. We play 100 years of folk music, broadcasting over the US and Canada. You can listen online at www.siriusxm.com at channel 741 in the USA, on satellite in Canada and you can enjoy The Village Folk Show, a hosted folk show every Sunday 10 pm to 2 AM ET on ch 17 The Bridge, all week on The Village and On Demand. Pick a folk artist and song you have heard on The Village. Then record a voice memo on your phone in a quiet place- HI, ( FIRST NAME) WITH YOU LISTENING TO THE VILLAGE FOLK SHOW FROM ( HOMETOWN, STATE) AND LET US TAKE A LISTEN TO (FAV ARTIST)....(say something stunningly fascinating )

Shooting for 30 seconds, stick to one thought, can include song title or not, but we need to already play it.
