It's festival season in DC, and today it's been going down at the DC State Fair in Southwest.

Some of the big highlights: half smokes from Ben's Chili Bowl, pepperoni pizza from Timber Pizza, a double ditch competition, and running into family rocking some awesome tees.

Fun for the whole neighborhood!

One of DC's biggest and best cultural experiences of the year.

We had a blast strolling along H Street NE as all kinds of incredible sights, sounds, and smells surrounded us.

The general feeling of community left us feeling that DC is a city that is together, not divided. Hard not to feel encouraged on a day when all you see is joy, love, and laughter.
