ADOS DMV REGION

THE ADOS DMV REGION started in the Spring of 2019 with Ros ‘from the DMV‘ Mickens setting up bi-monthly conference calls to work with like minded people who support Yvette Carnell’s “Breaking Brown” and Antonio Moore’s “Tone Talks” broadcasts on YouTube. Both Carnell and Moore provide political data and commentary regarding the state of American Descendants of Slavery. They speak of a specific group of people whose ancestors endured not only chattel slavery in the United States, but also Jim Crow (peonage, the Black Codes, lynchings, etc.) and mass incarceration and other heinous imbalances of today that spawn from the past.

Our political education is based on esteemed Economist Dr. William “Sandy” Darity’s reports “Umbrellas Don’t Make it Rain“ and his and other economist and Antonio Moore’s report “What We Get Wrong About Closing the Racial Wealth Gap”. The report is housed on the Duke University website. In addition, Dr. Darity and A. Kirsten Mullen have a new book released 2020 entitled “From Here to Equality” to show details of economic disparity and speak on Reparations as the means and ways to resolve these problems.

Our ADOS DMV REGION members invite anyone to our open page to read the links and obtain that political education that is not taught in schools! We welcome our ADOS by lineage, and non ADOS allies alike to share the data.
