Hey guys! Crazy times, am I right? Things are definitely not Allgood. Thought it was time to check in.
Two days ago I wrote this thread, as shown below, after reading dozens of sources about the Israel-US-Iran war. Today a new article basically confirms it.
I’m curious what others think about this.
I have linked today’s Haaretz article at the end. I also included a photo that outlines the main claims made. I highly recommend reading it as well.
My post:
🧵🪡
I’ve been reading dozens of news sources about the war because the reporting is all over the place. Everyone is saying different things. After going through a lot of coverage, this is the clearest picture I’ve been able to piece together of what is actually happening:
1️⃣ The U.S. wants out of this war.
The recent attacks were large so Trump could say to the public:
“The war is over. There’s nothing left to bomb. We were successful.”
But behind the scenes, he was trying to scare Iran into making a deal on his terms. He’s been talking to Iran to see if it will come back to the negotiating table and end the war.
He knows this is hurting him both politically and economically, but he can’t say that publicly. That’s why he denies that he has reached out to Iran to end it.
2️⃣ Iran said absolutely not— we will decide when we are done fighting, and it will be on our terms.
So because Israel and the U.S. hit hard, Iran hit hard right back. Things are escalating even more now, which Trump did not expect.
By hitting cargo ships in the Strait, they signaled they are not backing down.
Now it seems their main strategy is to keep this war going in order to harm the global economy and force Trump to agree to a ceasefire on their terms.
They want a war of attrition. Above all, they refuse to be seen as giving in to Washington or Israel.
They have already managed to prevent regime change—and now it looks very unlikely. Trump has dropped that objective as a war goal, and Israel admits it probably won’t happen.
3️⃣ Israel is lying and keeps saying the war will continue.
They are angry that regime change didn’t happen as easily as they hoped. They want more time to complete regime change, and they also want to keep people distracted from what they are doing in Lebanon and the West Bank— which is horrific. Now they are attempting last-minute efforts to rally the Iranian public, but they are failing.
Israel knows Trump wants out of the war, but publicly they are trying to prevent him from doing that.
Israel doesn’t care what the cost of the war is— they are focused only on what is best for them. (It also helps that Israel gets US tax dollars / weapons to help fund their wars).
At this point, it may not matter whether Trump wants out. Iran wants to keep the war going until Trump agrees to their demands. Israel wants to keep it going until Iran agrees to their demands and all of Israel’s war objectives are completed.
So, Trump is caught in the middle.
This dynamic has caused a lot of confusion, which is why the objectives and the plan for this war have been chaotic— even Israel and the U.S. can’t agree.
Iran has shown that it is resilient and dynamic. Trump assumed he would win by force, so Iran’s strategy of crippling the global economy surprised him.
Thus, every time he retaliates and uses more force against Iran, the war simply escalates.
Iran is proving it won’t be intimidated and will respond proportionally. Trump is learning this the hard way.
Israel is in denial about it all — they are trying to control the narrative in order to keep the war going.
—END POST—
Second, this Haaretz article—an Israeli newspaper—confirms almost exactly what I wrote two days ago:

The main claims are summarized in the photo below.
I believe they may have seen my post first and just copied me 😉— but joking aside, it serves as further evidence for the claims made below.
