Devin Bush began painting miniatures in 2017. The following year, he won an award in his first local painting competition and has been hooked ever since. Focusing on growth and development, he has won multiple accolades across various shows, including the Las Vegas Open, MPO, Golden Demon, and NOVA Capital Palette, where he was awarded Gold and Best Vehicle in the Masters Division. Over the past few years, Devin has been focusing on teaching the next wave of artists his distinctive style, a blend of grit and grime mixed with punchy, fantastical color schemes. His main goal is to teach in an approachable manner, and all the lessons provide a solid foundation to build upon.

Devin will be teaching classes about making power swords eye-catching, battle damage to make your armor tell a story, as well as an introduction to texture to make your minis come alive!

A professional miniature painter and a member of the Kimera Models and Pegaso Models teams, Francesco has spent the last 20 years immersed in the world of historical and fantasy miniatures. He has conducted courses worldwide and participated in the most prestigious international competitions—both as a competitor, winning numerous esteemed awards (individually and in collaboration with some of the world’s best sculptors), and as a judge.

He is a two-time Slayer Sword winner at Golden Demon Italy (2006/2007) and has stood on the Crystal Brush podium twice, securing 3rd place in 2017 and the absolute Best of Show in 2019. His achievements include multiple Best of Show awards worldwide, including twice in Lyon, Athens, Siena, and Rome, as well as an extensive list of gold medals from the most prestigious competitions, including multiple editions of the World Model Expo.

Among his many roles, he served as president of the Fantasy category jury at the World Model Expo in Stresa (2014) and Eindhoven (2022) and will once again be part of the jury team for the 2025 World Model Expo in Versailles (Paris). For the past 15 years, he has been a co-organizer of the Monte San Savino Show, one of the most significant miniature competitions and a key gathering for this unique art form.

Today, he divides his time between painting, concept development, artistic direction, and international teaching, a passion he has never set aside.

Caleb Wissenback has been miniature painting for over 15 years and teaching for almost 12. He is the co-founder of CK Studios and has taught classes all over the US, Canada, and Europe. As well as teaching through CK Studios, Caleb is also a member of The Army Painter's US events team.

Chris Suhre is a miniature artist likely best known for his work on dioramas and storytelling within miniature art. Chris strives to to have his pieces invoke emotion and feeling from his audience. He has had the honor of placing at multiple competitions including Crystal Brush, Golden Demon, NOVA's Capital Palette, and Monte san Savino. He has also had the honor of participating in Dave Taylor's Art of series.

Bob Cohoon is an American display painter with over 23 years of experience in the art. His work focuses on expressive color, maximizing definition, conversions, and custom bases & plinths. He has had success across various competitions including the NOVA Open Capital Palette, Gen Con MHE, and Golden Demon. In the Chicago area, he is a passionate community leader, hoping to grow the miniature community locally and share knowledge with other enthusiastic painters!

This year at NOVA, Bob is offering the Building Bedrock course. Focused on creating custom sculpted bases, students can expect a comprehensive lecture with extensive hands-on learning. From concept, to sculpting, and painting, this course will show Bob's entire process to creating custom bases for miniatures of any scale.
