How it started vs. how it’s going… or how it ended 🪱

Not only are they creepy and crawly, like an underwater centipede, fire worms can kind of swim too. They can undulate their bodies and use their many little legs to paddle. Here, as Lola was grazing, she stirred one up and hadn’t even noticed. I was like “seriously it just crawled over your entire body!” Later, she found another and it became lunch.

🌊 It's vital for baby turtles to walk their way to the ocean, regardless of how quick or slow they can be.

Each turtle is on their own journey where speed means nothing - all that matters is they complete their path to the sea.

This walk is essential for them to learn where they come from and know how to return to the beach they were born to breed; a process known as "imprinting"
