A former POW camp in the Philippines which was the site of a massacre of U.S. troops has fallen into disrepair.

It took until the 1980s for Congress to recognize the special kind of bravery and grit it took to be a POW.

Today is May 6, the anniversary of the Fall of Corregidor and National Nurses Day. Nurse Black's daughter recently went on a reconciliation trip to Japan. Her father was also a POW.
