Governor Makinde Reveals Why Oyo Bought Surveillance Aircraft ✈️👮

"Security isn't just about reacting to crime — it's about preventing it before lives are lost."

Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, has broken his silence on why his administration acquired two state-of-the-art surveillance aircraft
that landed Tuesday at Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan.

Speaking on the strategic purchase, Governor Makinde explained that the aircraft were bought primarily to *strengthen intelligence gathering, improve emergency response time, and give security agencies aerial advantage
in combating kidnapping, armed robbery, illegal mining and other criminal activities across Oyo State.

According to the Governor, the aircraft will provide *24/7 aerial monitoring of forests, highways, and vulnerable border communities* where criminal groups often hide and operate.

Nigeria's security challenges demand modern solutions. While many states still rely only on ground patrols, Oyo is leading the way with *technology-driven policing* — a strategy used worldwide to detect threats faster and coordinate security response more effectively.

*What does this mean for ordinary citizens?*
Faster rescue operations, safer highways for commuters, better protection for farmers, and stronger intelligence to dismantle criminal networks.

WASHINGTON D.C. - President Donald Trump on Tuesday hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House for their eighth face-to-face meeting since the US President returned to office — in what is being described as one of the most critical meetings of the year!

According to reports, Netanyahu arrived at the West Wing at 10:57 am (1457GMT) and the meeting, which was closed to the media, lasted 90 minutes.

The high-stakes meeting in the Oval Office included top US delegation — US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth participated in the discussions.

> “President Trump has concluded his meetings in the Oval Office with Ukrainian President (Volodymyr) Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Netanyahu. Both meetings were positive and productive.”

Israel did not immediately release a readout of the meeting.

Sources say top on the agenda was *Iran's nuclear program, the Israel-Lebanon framework, developments in Gaza, and efforts to expand the Abraham Accords.*

This is Netanyahu's first in-person summit with President Trump since the joint US-Israel campaign against Iran began in February.
