On Friday morning, workers were spotted installing fencing around Dupont Circle Park ahead of the weekend.

The installation comes ahead of the Capital Pride Parade and weekend festivities that are set to take place throughout the area.

“The National Park Service is taking the appropriate measures to protect the community and Dupont Circle this upcoming weekend," a U.S. Department of the Interior spokesperson told DC News Now.

The park is set to reopen at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
