Tile guy ruined the floor (and maybe the house)?!?
Long story short, a family friend hired a guy who doesn't do tile to tile her kitchen to save some money, and got exactly what she paid for. If this isn't the place for this, please let me know, I couldn't find a better place and this started with a tile job so it made sense to me. I have a business building furniture and cabinetry but this goes beyond my skill sets so I would like to know just how f* my friend is here. I was able to get some pictures in the crawlspace, but due to my own ignorance it didn't help much. But it definitely doesn't look good. The reason she called me at all is that there is a sizable dip in her kitchen floor. She said that the "tile guy" told her that he had to cut a floor joist during install??? That seems nuts to me. Regardless, he took her money and changed his number so she can't find him anymore.
