Authorities report that NYPD officers fatally shot an emotionally disturbed woman in Times Square on Monday afternoon after she carried out a random, unprovoked stabbing that injured two people. One victim, 32-year-old Erin Piacenti of Chester, New Jersey, later died from her injuries at a hospital.
