Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself and share a photo I took
We have lived in our 111 year old home for 40 years. The home has beautiful woodwork throughout it. I hand punched a design and inserted antiqued copper in the kitchen cabinets to give a pie safe effect.

Would a contractor do this or do i need an artist?
I saw this on Pinterest, with no info attached to it.. Is this the kind of thing a builder would be able to do fairly easily, or would i be asking him to go beyond the scope of his job?

Also, would you buy the main tile separately from the turtle? Any recommendations for where to find this type of thing? What i like about it is having something unexpected in an otherwise fairly normal shower floor, i don't care if it's a turtle or, idk, something else.

I’m moving into an older house where the linoleum floors were neglected. I don’t have the money to replace right now. I’ve mopped and scrubbed with no success. Do you have suggestions for me? The actual color is to the right (that’s where the dryer was). The rest of the floor looks like the left patch with the very dirty patch in some spots too. Help!!!

I know I won’t explain this well but I will try. These “cracks” aren’t something new.. nor are they actually cracks. You can’t put your fingernail in this. There is no groove. The “crack” or fissure happened maybe thousands or millions of years ago and are filled with ages of mineral deposits. The surface is polished smooth. It is something that happens in natural stone.
I have walked around in there quite a few times admiring the stone without seeing any cracks. I will not take anymore pictures of my countertops so that they can disappear again. 😉

I Finally did it!! I bought a sectional. It’s a bit big for the space tho😩. I bought it off of Wayfair. I was scared buying sight unseen. I’m satisfied. I did put new 5inch legs on it. This new furniture is so low🤷🏽‍♂️. Don’t mind the ottoman. I previously purchased that off Wayfair and it’s the same material but different shades of beige or cream. I’m not getting rid of it 🤣

Hi everyone! Help pls 🥲🥲 this is the first thing you see when you walk into my apartment. I have no idea what to do with this space! I thought about a skinny table but I have 2 kids and a dog and I know people will be bumping into it. Shelves maybe? One large piece of art? Brownie points for any photoshop examples. Going for a colorful fun but also chill vibe. Thanks! 🫶🏼
