I’m excited to share a very important leadership opportunity on our team at CLIA - Cruise Lines International Association.

We are looking for a Vice President, North American Travel Trade Membership Operations, and this is a role I care deeply about getting right.

This person will become a key partner to me on our North American Travel Trade Membership team, supporting the tens of thousands of travel advisors and travel agencies we serve across the U.S. and Canada.

While my work is heavily focused on the industry, our members, relationships, partnerships, professional development, and the travel trade itself, this new Vice President will bring the operational leadership that helps turn strategy and ideas into ex*****on... across membership operations, analytics, performance management, systems, processes, member lifecycle, and revenue growth.

In other words, I’m looking for a terrific counterpart: someone strategic enough to see the big picture, operational enough to make it happen, and collaborative enough to thrive in a highly relationship-driven organization.

CLIA is at an exciting point of growth, evolution, and opportunity, particularly in how we serve and engage the travel trade, and I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead for our community.

🇫🇷 A Paris restaurant recommendation for my fellow travel advisors!

Since we are in Paris and London celebrating our 20th anniversary, I thought I’d share a few of our favorite restaurants along the way... particularly places that might be worth keeping in your back pocket when clients ask, “But where should we eat?”

Today’s lunch at La Bourse et La Vie in Paris was exceptional. Warm, gracious service, a wonderfully comfortable little bistro atmosphere, and quite simply the best steak frites I have ever had. The faux-filet au poivre was outstanding, and the chocolate mousse alone is worth remembering. 😊

One of the great pleasures of being a travel advisor is having those special places to recommend that can become part of a client’s memories of a destination. This one is absolutely going into my Paris file.

What a terrific experience, this week, at the OutsideAgents.com "It's a Jungle Out There" National Conference! 🌴🚢

My sincere thanks to Chad, Steve, Dan, and Lionel for the honor of inviting me to serve as keynote speaker during Tuesday’s General Session. It was a privilege to spend time with such an engaged community of travel professionals. I came away especially impressed by the professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine commitment to lifelong learning demonstrated by the travel advisors in attendance.

The entire conference was exceptionally well produced, and Gala Night was a wonderful way to celebrate the community, relationships, and energy that make our industry so special.

Gratitude all around to the entire Outside Agents team for the hospitality, the warm welcome, and a memorable few days together. I’m very glad I had the opportunity to be part of it! 🚢✨

Thank you to Christine Duffy for spending some time with my team and I in Washington this week. I cannot think of anyone better equipped to provide insight to the CLIA staff than she is. Having served as the CLIA CEO when I was previously a member of her leadership team (2011-2015), and then for almost twelve years as President of Carnival Cruise Line, her advice and thoughts were greatly appreciated and unlike any other my team could receive.
